Board Recruitment Process

The nominating committee will review all applications. The organization will identify the competencies and skills needed to match those requirements with applications received. Members and staff will identify possible candidates and send invitation to apply letters.

All applicants must complete a Board nomination packet available online or sent by request.

The board will select and meet with potential candidates. These sessions are an opportunity for members of the Board, the Chairperson of the Board and the Executive Director to explain more fully the roles and responsibilities of the board as whole, as well as individual board director responsibilities. The presence of the Board Chair and the Executive Director in such orientation sessions conveys to board prospects the importance of the position they are being asked to consider.
