Food Trucks at the Sant’ Yago Knight Parade

Metro Wellness and Community Centers will have two food trucks in its parking lot along the Sant’ Yago Knight Parade route February 18, 2012. The fabulous gourmet food trucks – Wicked Wiches and Killer Samich – will be parked at 1315 E. 7th Avenue, located at the beginning of the parade route.

Stop by from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and enjoy one-of-a-kind sandwiches and drinks. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the charitable work of Metro Wellness and Community Centers, which provide premier HIV services to individuals in need throughout the Tampa Bay Area and offer free social, educational and recreational classes and activities to the LGBT community.

Metro Wellness and Community Centers Grand Opening

Come enjoy Metro’s new St. Petersburg GLBT Community Center

Metro Wellness and Community Centers is celebrating its brand new complex in St. Petersburg with a Grand Opening on Friday, November 4, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Come enjoy wine and refreshments at Tampa Bay’s newest, largest GLBT Community Center, located at 3251 3rd  Ave. N. Suite 125. Learn all about what Metro has planned for the GLBT community and tour the space that will surely become an epicenter for GLBT activities in the Bay Area.

Metro’s Grand Opening will provide networking opportunities amongst some of  Tampa Bay’s most influential GLBT individuals and entities. Since Metro’s GLBT Community Centers are constantly evolving, input from the community is welcome. So come visit the center and help Metro help you. Metro Wellness and Community Center Recommits to the GLBT Community

TampaBay– Metro Wellness and Community Centers proudly announces its recommitment to the GLBT community of Tampa Bay. On October 1, Metro Wellness and Community Centers will move into its new St. Petersburg facility, located at 3251 3rd Ave. N. Suite 125. The new center provides a safe environment for GLBT communities to hold events and meetings, a welcoming atmosphere for GLBT youth activities, a public cyber center, and the affiliated Metro Thrift Store at 2235 Central Ave.

This will be the newest of the three Metro Wellness and Community Centers, which are also in Ybor City and New Port Richey. With a newly acquired GLBT Program Manager, Adam Jahr, Metro Wellness and Community Centers is prepared to form mutually beneficial relationships with GLBT communities, social groups and other entities throughout Pinellas, Hillsborough and Pasco counties.

In addition to its community and social services, Metro Wellness and Community Centers assists persons living with HIV/AIDS, offers prevention and education services, provides substance abuse and mental health counseling and support groups, free HIV testing, and various other GLBT-targeted programs.
