Through its LGBTQ+ Community Programming, METRO has numerous opportunities for the trans community offered at little-to-no cost.
Share experiences, explore emotions, and express yourself in our discussion and support group with others in the community. Trans-masculine 1st Wednesdays and trans-feminine 2nd Wednesdays.
A supportive environment to discuss challenges and successes of being a trans parent. Partners of transgender individuals may choose to attend with their child. Meetings are on the 2nd Thursday of every month, 7:00pm in the Tampa Community Center.
Transitioning is beautiful and we want to celebrate it! Connect with your local trans feminine community, learn about Metro Inclusive Health’s trans services, and build your own path to gender affirmation. Attendance and resources are available at no cost to attendees.
Looking for a place where you can find community and mutual understanding? Join us for a social, laid-back meet-up led by and for trans men and trans masculine people. This group is for connecting with “Guys Like Us.”
Find your feminine voice in this educational class led by a Speech Language Pathologist for transgender women and trans feminine people. Feminine Communication Series are offered on a quarterly basis, so email TransCommunity@MetroTampaBay.org to express interest in our next community class.
Outside the Binary exists to include non-binary individuals, who may identify as genderfluid, agender, genderqueer, gender non-conforming, questioning, or any of a spectrum of non-binary identities, including those who cannot express their identities. We meet in a neutral space to discuss topics related to living in a binary driven society. This group is open to spouses, partners, friends, and family of anyone attending. We hope that this open space will serve as a supportive and educational space for anyone who needs it.
Trans parents/guardians and parents/guardians with trans children share experiences and any concerns with METRO’s Trans Services Division Manager through this exciting family journey. Trans Parent Junior is a safe, fun environment for trans youth ages 12 and below to socialize with peers while parents/guardians get support from others with similarly identified children.
Monthly community social group meeting every 3rd Saturday of the month at 6pm. Check the METRO for details.
