Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Koziel completed her B.S. in Biology at East Carolina University and went on to attend medical school at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in México. She completed her Family Medicine residency training at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Pennsylvania. Following a global health experience in Kenya she developed an interest in HIV and tuberculosis and went on to complete the Community Medicine-HIV/Hepatitis fellowship at the Family Health Center of Worcester in Massachusetts. Dr. Koziel is fluent in Spanish and has a passion for working with undeserved Latino communities.
Professional interests: HIV care, refugees, LGBTQ+ and underserved populations, substance use disorder and treatment, Hepatitis C/B, latent TB, tropical disease and global health.
