Statement of Purpose:ย  The Bookkeeper is responsible for a variety of accounts payable functions in a healthcare and non-profit setting.

ย Primary Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for accurately reporting bi-weekly payroll related expenses
  • Performs all bank reconciliations
  • Updates revenue & AR analytic spreadsheets (by clinic, location, provider & payor)
  • Tracks restricted donations and usage
  • Reconciles daily collection logs from clinics
  • Prepares cash and deposit slip for Operations to deposit at bank
  • Prepares deposit ledgers for all checks, cash & credit cards
  • Enters check, cash and credit card deposits
  • Remits copies of all insurance checks to Billing Specialist
  • Reconciles travel account and tracks travel authorizations
  • Maintains and updates Contract List file
  • Allocates, enters and pays all payables
  • Performs AP and Staff credit card reconciliations monthly
  • Enter and reconciles invoices
  • Prepares vendor 1099-Misc at year end
  • Prepares payroll activity
  • Other financial duties as applicable and relevant

Education/Professional:

  • Associates degree in Accounting
  • 3+ years bookkeeping experience
  • Previous non-profit or cost accounting experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks or comparable accounting software

Requirements:

  • Must possess and maintain valid Florida driverโ€™s license and proof of insurance
  • Must have reliable and accessible auto vehicle.
