Statement of Purpose: The Bookkeeper is responsible for a variety of accounts payable functions in a healthcare and non-profit setting.
Primary Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accurately reporting bi-weekly payroll related expenses
- Performs all bank reconciliations
- Updates revenue & AR analytic spreadsheets (by clinic, location, provider & payor)
- Tracks restricted donations and usage
- Reconciles daily collection logs from clinics
- Prepares cash and deposit slip for Operations to deposit at bank
- Prepares deposit ledgers for all checks, cash & credit cards
- Enters check, cash and credit card deposits
- Remits copies of all insurance checks to Billing Specialist
- Reconciles travel account and tracks travel authorizations
- Maintains and updates Contract List file
- Allocates, enters and pays all payables
- Performs AP and Staff credit card reconciliations monthly
- Enter and reconciles invoices
- Prepares vendor 1099-Misc at year end
- Prepares payroll activity
- Other financial duties as applicable and relevant
Education/Professional:
- Associates degree in Accounting
- 3+ years bookkeeping experience
- Previous non-profit or cost accounting experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Knowledge of QuickBooks or comparable accounting software
Requirements:
- Must possess and maintain valid Florida driver’s license and proof of insurance
- Must have reliable and accessible auto vehicle.
