Statement of Purpose:  Metro Inclusive Health is seeking a full-time Social Media & Community Engagement Strategist to elevate our digital presence. This role plays a key part in METRO’s growth strategy, responsible for curating an engaging social media presence and producing influencer-style, user-generated content that authentically represents METRO’s mission. The ideal candidate will develop creative content that captures the spirit of user-led storytelling, helping to build the organization’s online profile across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. Additionally, they will manage third-party review sites (e.g., Yelp, Google My Business), responding to reviews and maintaining a positive brand presence. Strong writing skills are essential for maintaining website and blog content. Demonstrated experience with AI tools in marketing, such as ChatGPT or MidJourney, is a plus.

The ideal candidate is passionate about creating visually appealing and written content that resonates with diverse audiences, with a focus on developing content that feels organic and community-driven.  

 

Primary Tasks/Responsibilities:

Content Creation

  • Content Creation & User-Generated Style Content
  • Curate and develop engaging social media content in the style of influencer and user-generated content, optimized for various platforms and audiences.
  • Generate creative content ideas that align with social media trends, reflecting the authentic voice of the METRO community.
  • Draft weekly and monthly social media calendars, ensuring all content remains on-brand and in line with METRO’s mission.
  • Work closely with in-house designers to create visually cohesive content.
  • Craft written content for social media posts, email newsletters, website updates, and blogs that reflect METRO’s unique voice and foster community engagement.
  • Visit METRO locations and events to capture real-time, engaging content that feels authentic and user-generated.

Community Engagement & Development

  • Engage with online communities by responding to comments, fostering conversations, and creating a sense of community around METRO’s digital presence.
  • Monitor and respond to reviews on platforms like Yelp and Google, ensuring timely, thoughtful engagement that enhances METRO’s reputation.
  • Monitor social media and marketing email inboxes, responding to inquiries, comments, and messages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Track and optimize engagement on all platforms, adjusting content strategies to reflect user preferences and engagement patterns.

AI in Marketing & Strategy Development

  • – Utilize AI tools like ChatGPT or MidJourney to generate innovative content ideas, streamline workflows, and enhance content creation.
  • – Stay informed on emerging social media tools and trends, adjusting METRO’s strategy to align with influencer and user-generated content styles.

Strategy & Analytics

  • Analyze social media metrics to report on performance and continuously refine content strategies to boost engagement.
  • Provide regular reports on content performance, user engagement, and growth metrics, adjusting strategies in real time to optimize results.

 

Education/Professional:

  • Bachelor’s in relevant field (e.g. Communications, Public Relations, Interdisciplinary Arts) Preferred.
  • Minimum of two years social media content development and management experience.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Demonstrated expertise in social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, with the ability to create authentic, community-driven content.
  • Strong content creation and copywriting skills, with samples required.
  • Familiarity with managing third-party review platforms (Google, Yelp, etc.).
  • Experience in monitoring social media and marketing email inboxes, ensuring prompt and professional responses.
  • Demonstrated AI tools experience (ChatGPT, MidJourney) is a plus.
