Thank you for your interest in serving on Metro Inclusive Health’s Board of Directors. These are our Board expectations:
Serve a minimum of one (1) 2-year term on the Board
Interpret the organization’s work and values to the community, and promote the organization.
Attend at least 75% of board meetings (minimum of 9 – held monthly at 6 pm on the last Friday of the month), committee meetings, and special events.
Make a personal financial or help raise a contribution at a $1,000 level.
Actively participate in one or more fundraising activities.
Actively participate in one or more standing committees.
Act in the best interests of the organization, and excuse yourself from discussion and votes where there is a conflict of interest.
Take seriously the major legal responsibilities of serving on a board, including and especially the fiduciary role.
Stay informed about what is going on in the organization. Ask questions and requests information. Participate in and take responsibility for making decisions on issues, policies and other board matters.
Work in good faith with staff and other board members as partners towards achievement of our goals.
