nPEP Can Prevent HIV

When a Broken Heart is the Least of Your Worries, Close Calls Require nPEP.

In close-call situations where prevention was absent or perhaps didn’t work as expected. Taken within 72 hours of a high-risk experience, nPEP can significantly reduce your chances of contracting HIV. Most insurances cover nPEP and Metro Inclusive Health offers cost assistance programs, which can mean little to no out-of-pocket to you.

What is nPEP?

A short-term treatment, started as soon as possible after high-risk exposure to an infectious agent, such as HIV, hepatitis B virus (HBV), or hepatitis C virus (HCV), non-occupational post-exposure prophylaxis (nPEP) is administered to significantly reduce the risk of infection.

METRO accepts most major insurances and offers sliding fee scale self-pay options, based on income. Contact us at 727-321-3854 for an appointment or to learn more.
