Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), Dr. Garnett’s credentials underscore his exceptional expertise and commitment to excellence. He furthered his career in medicine at the University of Kentucky, where he earned his medical degree and a master’s degree in public health in 2012, setting the stage for a remarkable career.

Completing his internal medicine training at Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta in 2015, Dr. Garnett’s passion for comprehensive care led him to pursue the HIV Care training pathway for residents. This transformative journey culminated in his prestigious credentialing as an HIV Specialist by the American Academy of HIV Medicine, a testament to his dedication in the realm of HIV care.

Dr. Garnett’s incessant mission then led him to the vibrant city of New Orleans, where he joined Crescent Care, channeling his focus towards enhancing healthcare services for the Latinx and LGBTQ communities. His compassionate approach and cultural sensitivity have created a healing environment that resonates deeply with these vital populations.

Beyond his medical endeavors, Dr. Garnett cherishes his role as an advocate for the Latinx and LGBTQ communities. His work has expanded to include vital PrEP and nPEP services, addressing the pressing needs of HIV prevention and care.

Outside his medical realm, Dr. Garnett immerses himself in the vibrant parade culture of New Orleans and Tampa Bay, where he actively participates in various krewes throughout the year.
