About Lea Ann
Lea Ann comes to METRO with 35 years of medical experience, the last 25 years as a Pediatric & Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her RN in 1986 and her BSN in 1991 from the University of Kentucky. Her first 10 years were spent working on pediatric, orthopedic and outpatient surgery units. In 1991 she became a nursing instructor and ultimately an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Elizabethtown Community College, under the umbrellas of the University of Kentucky. In 1996, Lea Ann graduated from Spalding University with her Master’s Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Since then she has focused primarily in pediatrics, the last 15 years with Norton’s Children’s Medical Associates associated with the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Lea Ann is married, with 2 adult children, 2 grandchildren and a houseful of rescue animals. Outside of work she enjoys kayaking, nature walks, bird watching and painting.
