Jessica is a licensed mental health clinician (LMHC) in the state of Florida and in Texas, and is a Qualified Supervisor in both states. She joins METRO with 17 years of advocacy and mental health experience serving adolescents, adults, and families in Vermont and Texas. Upon graduating from James Madison University, Jessica moved to Montpelier, Vermont to serve under the Americorps program at a local teen center. After completing this one-year program, she continued her community-based work in an after-school program for at-risk children and youth, while also working as a trainer and advocate at a domestic violence agency. After completing her graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Union Institute and University, Jessica took a position as a full-time counselor with Washington County Mental Health, a local mental health authority in central Vermont. While working there, Jessica had the opportunity to work with adults, couples, and families in addition to co-facilitating a weekly support group for women who had experienced trauma. For 10 years, Jessica has dedicated her career to integrated healthcare and school-based mental health services at Bluebonnet Trails Community Services, a local mental health authority in central Texas.Â
