Community Aid Programs

Sudden changes in life — including health, employment or transportation — can be destabilizing. That’s why we’ve developed the following programs to assist with the growing needs of our clients in Tampa Bay.

Linkage

METRO’s mission is to provide “quality health and wellness services that are inclusive, relevant, supportive and represent the lifetime continuum of the diverse people in our community.”

That means linking our community to a variety of necessary resources to meet their diverse needs, and taking a holistic approach to wellness. Reach our dedicated Linkage Navigators by calling us at (727) 321-3854.

Housing Assistance

METRO has launched a new, $100,000 housing initiative to aid clients with rent, security deposits, and other essential needs. We offer a variety of options for both short- and long-term needs.

Feeding Our Community

In addition to participating in local drive-through food pantries, METRO offered nearly $60,000 in grocery gift cards to individuals and families with demonstrated need during the holiday season.

No Health Insurance?
No Problem.

With our innovative Copay It Forward program, METRO transforms our insured patients’ normal copays into healthcare assistance for un-or-underinsured members of the community.

Give, support and get involved. METRO Volunteers pack food bags for Tampa Bay clients in need of basic pantry items.

For Soon-to-Be Parents

Pregnancy is different for everyone, but no one should do it alone. From free pregnancy tests and baby showers, to HIV prevention and more, TOPWA program specialists are here to support soon-to-be parents in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties.

Community Assets

METRO Cyber Centers

Funded by the David Bohnett Foundation, METRO locations in St. Pete, Tampa, and New Port Richey feature Cyber Centers that provide free Internet access and computer software applications to our community.

Free Legal Advice

In need of some practical legal advice? Meet with a local attorney for free. Appointments are required. Email JoeM@MetroTampaBay.org for appointments at the St. Pete Community Center.
