Cynthia Sleppy

About Cynthia

Meet Cynthia Sleppy, bringing an extensive 25-year medical background to METRO and a wealth of experience in critical care, including NICU, Cardiac Progressive Care, GI, and bedside Intensive Care. Her educational journey began at Mount Carmel Nursing School in Columbus, Ohio, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Later, in 2010, she graduated from Otterbein University.

With thirteen years of expertise as an Adult Care Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP), Cynthia’s career has been marked by a commitment to specialized care. Following her graduation, she served as a Hepatology/Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner at Ohio University, focusing on treating patients with Hepatitis B, C, and co-infections with HIV. Her scope of practice also encompassed providing care for individuals with chronic liver failure and general gastroenterological conditions.

Cynthia’s dedication extends beyond clinical practice. During her tenure at Ohio State University, she actively contributed to the Liver Transplant Committee and engaged in Telemedicine services for the Ohio Correctional Institution.

Outside of her career, Cynthia is happily married and is a proud parent of four children, with the additional joy of eight grandchildren. Her cherished moments are spent with her family. She is an avid enthusiast of outdoor sports, with football being her particular passion. In addition to her love for football, she enjoys activities such as fishing, walking, and running, embracing an active and wholesome lifestyle.
